Dave is a Senior Commercial Advisor for Blueberry Commercial Real Estate Ltd. out of their Bedford, Nova Scotia office. Dave specializes in some of the most creative listings in the business as well as government and corporate RFP processes. With substantial experience in the hospitality & recreational resorts sectors, locally, nationally & internationally, Dave has created a wide network of successful contacts with clients interested in engaging in industrial, office & general commercial leasing and for the marketing and sale of businesses (Asset or Share Transactions) in the industrial, retail and income property sectors across the Maritime commercial market. Succession Planning and Design Build work with PCL Construction remains a growing portfolio for Dave in recent years.

Born in the HRM, Dave has spent most of his business career in this market and still resides in the HRM with his wife Reta. Dave & Reta are proud to have raised two daughters who are building their careers and raising their growing families in Nova Scotia.

An ardent golfer & accomplished alpine skier, Dave has been very active with many boards & associations, community groups and charities and is widely known in his community and extensive business network for his positive attitude and for ‘making things happen’.

Following a successful career as an entrepreneur, management consultant and senior executive for several Fortune 500 companies before trading real estate, Dave’s real estate career over the past ~25 years has featured successfully marketing, managing and selling a variety of developments/projects including resorts, golf courses, UNESCO properties, as well as having represented many clients and customers in their leasing, buying and/or selling of a wide range of commercial properties ranging from small retail and/or franchise operations to large industrial buildings and a wide variety of business interests.

Dave completed a degree in Hospitality & Tourism before heading to western Canada to engage in the resort and ski business in the 70’s, and upon returning to Nova Scotia in the early 80’s, returned to academia where he studied Commerce at Saint Mary’s University, ultimately completing a Degree in Marketing & International Business at Saint Mary’s at the World Trade Centre in 1990. As an advocate of lifelong learning, Dave has also completed a wide range of programs, courses and professional designations in conjunction with his business interests throughout this time.
